Pleasant Valley Rd. Widening Project
WHAT
is the scope of the project?
Pleasant Valley Rd. (KY 237) was widened from Valley View Dr. to Rogers Ln. A 3.1-mile section of the roadway was widened from two to five lanes – two lanes in each direction with a center turn lane – with a multi-use path on both sides.
A roundabout was built at the intersection of Pleasant Valley Rd. and Camp Ernst Rd.
Curb and gutter improvements, as well as storm sewer and drainage work, were completed as part of this project.
WHY
are these improvements taking place?
This was the final phase of the KY 237 corridor project. Phase 1 widened Pleasant Valley Rd. at US 42 and Phase 2 provided for the addition of a single point urban interchange (SPUI) at Camp Ernst Rd. and Burlington Pike (KY 18).
This work is part of a series of significant safety improvements that support changing travel patterns and growing residential traffic between the Union, Florence and Burlington areas.
WHEN
will work begin and end?

Traffic was in its final configuration by the end of 2021, with final work wrapping up in 2022.
WHERE
will there be impacts to traffic because of the project work?
This project is completed; there are no project-related impacts to traffic. Please drive safely.
HOW
much will the project cost?
