On Wednesday, Dec. 4, there will be a traffic switch on Donaldson Highway between Turfway Road (KY 717) and Houston Road (KY 842). Crews will begin the traffic switch at noon on Wednesday, and traffic should be in its new configuration by 3 p.m. There will be flaggers on both sides of the work zone.

 

Traffic will be moved to the newly paved southern portion of the road. Once the switch has been completed, motorists can expect two 10-foot lanes, one in each direction, with a two-foot shoulder on each side. This configuration will be in place through Summer 2025.

This is an active work zone. This work may involve several traffic impacts with equipment moving in/out of the work zone. Please be aware while traveling through the project area and watch for crews and equipment.

A new signal has been installed at the O’Hara Road and Donaldson Highway Junction. Please be mindful when driving through the area while motorists adjust to this new signalized interchange.

On Saturday, Oct. 5, there was a traffic switch on Donaldson Highway between Mineola Pike (KY 3076) and Turfway Road (KY 717). Traffic was shifted to the north.

 

The new traffic configuration on this portion of the project will be in place through June 2025.
