Donaldson Hwy. (KY 236) Widening
WHAT
is the scope of the project?
An approximately 2-mile section of Donaldson Hwy. (KY 236) between Houston Rd. (KY 842) and Mineola Pike (KY 3076) will be widened to five lanes with curb and gutter, including two through-lanes in each direction with a center turn lane. A sidewalk and multiuse path will also be added.
WHY
are these improvements taking place?
These improvements will help mitigate congestion, provide better access for pedestrians, and improve overall safety. Donaldson Hwy. currently experiences bouts of congestion from several businesses, schools, residences, and commercial development in the area. This project will help alleviate that.
WHEN
will work begin and end?
Project construction began February 27, 2023, with completion expected by September 2025.
WHERE
will there be impacts to traffic because of the project work?
Work may affect travel throughout the project area.
